Travel Diary: Oaxaca

Mexico is a country I find myself dreaming about often.

The food, the weather, the culture and traditional crafts keep me coming back year after year. This time we set out to discover Oaxaca, a state in Southwestern Mexico. After a brief stop in Mexico City where we visited Luis Barragan's shocking-pink home/studio, we flew into Oaxaca for some R & R. I have to admit, I spent most of my time scouring the craft markets looking for baskets, textiles and ceramics. One of my favorite outings was a Mezcal tasting. We picked up a couple bottles - for friends of course ;) - and headed back to the hotel. The perfect way to end the day!
